What is Magnetic Roller?

Magnetic Roller,also called Dry Magnetic Separator, is a kind of equipment used for material sorting, its internal structure includes feeding device, drum, magnetic core, casing and transmission device, during the working process the magnetic core is fixed and immobile, and the motor drives the drum to rotate through the turbine reducer, so as to realize the separation of the impurities and grains.

Usually installed on the transportation belt, when the material passes through, the magnetic material will be attracted to the top of the roller and automatically fall off, while the non-magnetic material will fall along the horizontal parabolic trajectory directly, thus realizing the separation. The permanent magnetic pulley adopts high performance hard magnetic material to form a composite magnetic system, which can be installed in the head of the belt conveyor instead of the main wheel.

Working Principle of Magnetic Roller

Magnetic roller is usually used as the drive roller of the transportation belt, when the material passes through the magnetic roller on the transportation belt, it will be sorted out, the magnetic material will be attracted when it moves to the top of the roller, and it will fall off automatically when it turns to the bottom, while the non-magnetic material will fall down directly along the horizontal parabolic trajectory, and the magnetic material and the non-magnetic material will be entered into different receiving hoppers respectively.

2. Q: What is the magnetic field strength of a magnetic roller machine?

A: Our machine offers a variable magnetic intensity ranging from 3,000 Gauss up to 18,000 Gauss. The roller surface can be adjusted from low to high intensity based on your material’s magnetic properties.

3. Q: Can a magnetic roller machine remove fine iron particles (below 100 mesh)?

A: Yes. The high-intensity magnetic roller is very effective for fine particles down to 200 mesh (74 microns). For ultra-fine particles, we recommend using a wet magnetic separator instead.
