What is Hydraulic Filter Press?
Hydraulic filter press, also called automatic hydraulic filter press, is a dewatering equipment that utilizes slurry pump pressure to make the liquid come out through the filter cloth, which is divided into chamber filter press and plate filter press.
Plate and frame filter can be widely used in pharmaceutical, chemical, standard parts, pharmaceutical, metallurgy, non-standard screws, dyestuff, food, brewing, ceramics, oil refining, sewage treatment and other environmental protection industries.

What Is Hydraulic Filter Press Used For?
Hydraulic chamber filter press scope of use: applicable to concentrate filtration, tailings filtration dry discharge operations, product size up to -500 mesh. Scope of use of plate and frame filter press: (gold, silver, copper, iron, zinc) mine, rare earth and other powder ore dewatering, tailings dam treatment.

Working Principle of Hydraulic Filter Press
Hydraulic stage: when the hydraulic station of the filter press is working, the motor drives the oil pump to pump and press the hydraulic oil into the oil pipe connected with the oil cylinder. The high-pressure hydraulic oil enters the forward chamber of the cylinder, so that the oil in the forward chamber increases continuously, pushing the piston forward. As the piston is connected with the filter plate screw of the filter press, it pushes the filter plate to move, and presses the filter plate and filter medium (filter cloth) located between the compression plate and thrust plate.
Filtration stage: The liquid to be filtered is filtered through the filter cloth. Solid impurities are left on the filter cloth, while the clean liquid passes through the filter cloth into the filtrate chamber.
Pressing stage: The liquid pressure is transmitted to the filter plate through the hydraulic pump to further press the solid impurities on the filter cloth so that the liquid in the filtrate chamber is discharged.
Release the filter plate: After the filtration is completed, the hydraulic system reverses direction and the pressure oil enters the rod chamber of the cylinder, causing the piston to move in the reverse direction, pulling the filter plate back and at the same time pressurizing the oil in the forward chamber back to the oil station for recycling.
In specific operation, the piston in the cylinder body of the filter press will push the pressing plate to press the filter plate and filter medium (filter cloth) located between the pressing plate and the thrust plate, in order to ensure that the filtered material (slurry) with working pressure is pressurized and filtered in the filter chamber.

Q: How much does a hydraulic filter press cost?

Q: How long does one filtration cycle take?
A: A full cycle usually takes 15 to 45 minutes – including closing, filling, pressing, and opening the plates. Cycle time depends on your slurry’s solids content and the cake thickness. Automatic hydraulic systems are much faster than manual ones.
Q: What final cake moisture can I expect?
A: With a standard hydraulic filter press, the filter cake moisture is typically 15% to 25%. For even drier results (as low as 8-12%), you can add a membrane squeeze plate or optional air blow and vacuum systems.
Q: How often do I need to replace the filter cloths?
A: With normal use and proper cleaning, filter cloths last 3 to 6 months. Washing them after every shift and using a cloth with the correct micron rating for your slurry will significantly extend their life. We also supply spare cloths.
Q: Can the hydraulic filter press run fully automatically?
