What is Wet Rod Mill?
Rod mill can be divided into dry rod mill, wet rod mill. What Is Wet Rod Mill Used For?
Rod mill is used as the initial open circuit grinding, suitable for nonferrous metal, ferrous metal, nonmetal ore dressing site and chemical industry, building materials and other industries grinding materials to use.

Working Principle of Wet Rod Mill
The rod mill is driven by an electric motor through a speed reducer and peripheral large gear deceleration drive or by a low-speed synchronous motor directly through the peripheral large gear deceleration drive, driving the cylinder rotary. The cylinder is equipped with appropriate grinding media – steel rods. Under the action of centrifugal force and friction, the grinding media is lifted to a certain height and falls down in the state of throwing or draining. The material to be milled enters the inside of the cylinder continuously from the feed opening, is crushed by the moving grinding media, and the product is discharged out of the machine by the force of overflow and continuous feeding for the next section of the process operation.
The discharge method of rod mill is adopting overflow type and open discharge method, and the hollow journal diameter of its discharge end is larger than that of ball mill of the same specification. Generally, in the case of less hard or softer ores (especially viscous ores), the rod mill can replace the short-head cone crusher for fine crushing operation, and deal with the ores of 19-30mm grinding to 6-12 mesh, it has a simpler configuration and lower cost than that of the cone crusher and screening into a closed circuit.
